The Twin Cities chapter is the first-ever chapter of Muskies, Inc., a non-profit organization with the single focus of improving the sport of muskie fishing. Muskies, Inc. is widely recognized as the first organized group of sports anglers to espouse the "Catch and Release" practice now embraced by many conservation-minded groups throughout North America. Our chapter has approximately 700 members and grows each year.
One of the goals of Muskies, Inc. is giving back to our fisheries. As muskie fishing grows so does the pressure on lakes. Our chapter consistently works to raise funds and stock local muskie lakes in the metro area. Through fund raisers we are able to raise our own muskies and purchase fish to be stocked. It's one way we can give back to a sport we all enjoy.
Aside from muskie fishing the Twin Cities Chapter is involved in several other activities such as the Capable Partner Outing, Veterans Home Opener at the local Veterans Home. Each of these activites are great experience for everyone involved and is another way we give something back to our community.
General Meetings
Monthly meetings are scheduled on the second Tuesday of each month at the Knights of Columbus on 1114 American Blvd W Bloomington, MN at 7pm. Meetings are open to everyone and we invite you to come join us. This is a great way to meet, learn and share experiences with other like minded people who are passionate about fishing for muskie.
During our meetings we discuss things related to Muskies, Inc, our chapter and other related topics. Each meeting we also have a guest speaker. Guest speakers are generally well know in the muskie world. At the end of each meeting we also have drawings for lures to rod/reel combos.
After each meeting people usually head upstairs in bar to have a few drinks and talk shop or just hang out. It’s a fun time and great opportunity to meet people that a have similar passion.
