Vets Home Opener

One of our Chapter's favorite annual activities is bringing the fishing opener to the MN Veterans Home in May. We set up a giant pond filled with Rainbow Trout on the grounds of the Vets home and assist the residents in catching the fish. The trout are cooked and a complete "shore lunch" is served to these old warriors. It's a memorable and moving experience for all who participate. VFW Post 6690 and other VFW and American Legion posts help sponsor this event.

Capable Partners

In June we have a Muskie fishing outing on Lake Independence with a couple of dozen physically challengedbut highly spirited Muskie fishermen. Lots of wheelchairs, lots of boats, and lots of food and fun.

Awards Banquet

An annual awards banquet - our "winter picnic" - is held in February when the water is ice and summer muskie fishing is but a faint memory. Winners of the chapter's Members Only Contest and the Kids Only Fishing Contest are honored

Boat Raffle

Each year we purchase a boat to raffle off. THe proceeds goto the rearing and stocking fund used to raise fish and purchase ones that we can stock. Everyone works hard selling the tickets and the only way we can do this is with everyones hard work.

Show Booth

Our Chapter has booths at several sportshows. We display various lures, pictures of our projects, replicas of released Muskies, etc. Volunteers from the Chapter staff the booths and explain what Muskies Inc. is all about and answer the many questions posed by the show visitors.
